Drawing board for current costuming project:
Dress pattern. I think I want to do the one with the white collar, and edge the collar with thread crochet.
Dress will either be lime green with dark green reverse applique, or dark green with lime reverse applique - it depends on what I find while shopping.
Small white flower hair clips.
and something like this, for her to carry around:

I made my mom a scarf for Christmas.
I just took pictures of it. This implies that it is still in my position, in April. Sadly true.
I had debated doing the border in the pattern, but I never found a yarn I liked. I did finish this before Christmas, I just waffled over adding a border, and have now decided not to.
I might try to find a scarf pin, though. Later.
This was my first attempt at lace. I didn't do horribly, I just didn't do all that well. Gauge, consistency, tension... (Keeping consistent tension on chains is hard!)
It was a really fun pattern, though. With some practice, I could probably do a good job with it. If I remembered what book it came from.
This is the closest to picking up the greens and yellows in the yarn. I dyed it myself, and I've been really pleased with how well it works with crochet.
And all folded up, ready to be shipped. I probably should block it, but, uh, uhm... I don't really have a good reason here, I just don't want to. It'll just get squished in the mail?

I have new friends.
My new friends are green and one day I will hopefully eat them.
Orange mint, isn't he pretty? He doesn't smell that great, but I have a cold and hope it's the fault of my nose. He has some yellow leaves, which I think is because the pot is getting too small. All of them are needing re-potting - I've had them for two weeks now. And they're still alive! This is exciting.
He is hanging out on the windowsill with these other two:

Rosemary! (Yeah, I know my windowsill is dirty, and I think the condensation is because the heat is on.)

Strawberry! (No, I have no idea what I intend to do with one small strawberry plant. But look how pretty!)
These two are hanging out on the built-in ironing board off the kitchen. The others might join them soon, I think they're too close to the heater.
Peppermint!

Garlic!

So, I believe I figured out how this works. You open up the little packets and mix the contents with dirt and water and sunlight and you get plants! It feels like magic. There must be a drawback.
Sprouts in 7-14 days? Oh. Well then.
If I stare at them, do you think they'll grow faster? What if I give them caffeine?
